 SOLD - Antique, 1922 WILLCOX & GIBBS Electric CHAIN STITCH Sewing Machine w/ Foot Pedal, Case and attachments

 

This machine is in very nice shape and has been rewired as needed and serviced.   Comes with everything seen in photos.

A felt lined wooden case.   

We are not sure that this is a W&G original case.   

Either way, it protects the machine when not in use.

 

It comes with a photocopied manual, and the following set of attachments in an original Wilcox and Gibbs cardboard box:

1.       Regular straight stitch foot - on the machine

2.       The needle wrench - used to raise the needle in the needle bar and to then tighten the retaining nut. The wrench has a slot specifically designed to accept the needle.

3.       The seam guide – with the screw

4.       Hemmer - narrow

5.       Hemmer – wide

6.       Hemmer for flannel and linen

7.       The hemmer nut

8.       The quilting guide with the guide screw

9.       The foot gatherer

10.   The ruffler – in its own box

The serial number is A671374 indicating it was made in 1922.  This machine is in remarkable condition for being about 100 years old.
